There is no doubt about legitimate cost savings for virtualizing Desktops. It becomes more about the business driver. What is the company culture? How well will it become accepted?
Other benefits would include much greater anti-virus and desktop security, better governance on web usage on company Internet resources and greatly improved compliance against software piracy.
